Ingredients
- 1 slice of whole grain bread
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp ghee
- Sea salt to taste
Directions
- Place the slice of bread in a cutting board or plate. Using a pastry cutter or cup, cut a round hole in the center of the bread.
- Melt the ghee in a frying pan. Add the slice of bread and allow it to warm for a minute. Add the round piece of bread you cut out and toast it in the pan as well.
- Gently crack the egg into the hole and break the yolk and spread it on the slice using a fork.
- Allow the egg to cook halfway and using a spatula, flip the toast over to allow the egg to cook on the other side. Flip the round piece cut from the bread as well.
- Add a sprinkle of salt.
- Once the egg is cooked on the bottom side of the bread, flip it, and cook the other side.
